Machiavelli’s The Prince Is Free eBook Of The Day

Want to learn the origins of the term Machiavellian? Read today’s Free eBook of the Day, The Prince by Niccolò Machiavelli.

This political treatise was published in 1532, five years after Machiavelli’s death. The prince in the story maps out deceitful practices, thus the source of the word. Here is an excerpt: “The wish to acquire is in truth very natural and common, and men always do so when they can, and for this they will be praised not blamed; but when they cannot do so, yet wish to do so by any means, then there is folly and blame.”
