LetterMPress for iPad Brings Back the Printing Press & Typesetting

Before Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Friendster and even AOL, the main mechanism for spreading ideas was the printed word on paper. After the invention of the printing press, you could say that the printed word “went viral.” So, I was amused to learn aobut a $5.99 iPad app that bring back the concept of the printing press on the iPad’s screen.

Once you create a “print,” it can be shared via email, Facebook or imported into a graphics application for further work. This is not an app that will appeal to everyone. But, I can understand why people might be willing to pay $5.99 for this retro-concept app.
