LATimes Supports C-SPAN
In an editorial, the Los Angeles Times supports Brian Lamb’s efforts to “give viewers a more complete picture of the House floor. Citing Pelosi’s pledge for a more open House” (we reported his efforts earlier)”:
[H]e urged her to let C-SPAN bring its own cameras into the chamber, under its own direction. That way, viewers would get more of the flavor of the House and the personality of its members. They would be more likely to see such excitement as members’ reactions to provocative remarks, committee chairmen holding court in the back of the chamber and last-minute cajoling to win badly needed votes.
