Latest Newspaper Circ Numbers Show Ten Percent Drop

The Audit Bureau of Circulations today released its latest circulation numbers for newspapers and the news is grim, if not unexpected.

From April until September of this year, circulation for daily papers dropped to 30,395,652, compared to 34,005,421 during the same period last year, a 10.62 percent decline. Sunday circulation saw a drop of 7.49 percent.

This is the biggest circulation decline in recent history. Previous numbers have shown a 7.09 percent decline in March 2009, a 4.64
