L.A. Observed: Timothy Ryan to be named LAT Publisher?

LAO is reporting that Timothy E. Ryan, publisher, president and CEO of the Baltimore Sun, will be named publisher of the L.A. Times. He oversaw the RedEye for the Chicago Tribune so maybe we can expect some other gimmicky ploy to attract young readership here. As if anything matters anymore.
