Kovid Goyal is Moving Back to India
The creator of calibre, the best open source eBook Library tool, has recently announced that he and his wife are moving back to India. He didn’t give any specific details as to why, but he did post a breif message on MobileRead:
Krittika and I are relocating back to India in October. As you can imagine, moving half way around the world involves rather a lot of work. So I am going to be sporadically absent for the next 5-6 weeks.
I’ll try to keep making weekly releases of calibre during this month, but don’t be surprised if a miss a couple. My availability to answer questions is also likely to be severely curtailed.
Kovid started working on calibre while he was getting his PhD in Physics at CalTech. He has continued to develop and expand the app after he graduated while the Goyals were living in Albuquerque, NM.
