Kindle Sales Hit Record High
The new Kindle starts shipping today to consumers who bought it when it was first announced. Since then, it has been sold out, with various ship dates announced. For people who ordered their Kindle 3 in mid-August, the ship date is September 10th. For people who order today, it is September 17th.
While sales are obviously doing well, Amazon would not release any numbers to say specifically how many have been sold. Today Amazon put out a press release stating the this is the highest selling Kindle ever.
