iOS 4.0.1 for iPhone & iOS 3.2.1 for iPad Released: Proximity Sensor Problem Fixed. New FaceTime Screen Blanking Problem Appeared

Apple released the iOS 4.0.1 firmware update for the iPhone 3G, 3GS, and 4 as well as iOS 3.2.1 for the iPad models. As you can see in the screenshot above taken during the update process, the iPad update includes:

– Improved WiFi connectivity
– Mail PDF copy/paste fix
– Video playback freeze issue fix
– Improved reliability of video out using iPad Dock Connector to VGA
– Bing added as a search option



iOS 4.0.1 for the iPhone includes:

– Unspecified bug fixes
– Improved formula for displaying wireless signal strength

It looks like the proximity sensor problem during voice calls was fixed.
