The House That Looks Like Hitler Goes Viral On Twitter

A man in his 70s who owns a owns a house in Port Tenant, Swansea (in Wales), has been left bewildered as hundreds of thousands of people have shared an image of his property on Twitter.

Why? Because it bears a striking resemblance to Adolf Hitler.

Judge for yourself.

Explains The Daily Telegraph:

The slanted roof was said to resemble the Hitler fringe, the door lintel was the moustache and the small top windows were seen as the dictator’s piercing eyes.

Quite. The image was first posted by @CharliDickenson, who spotted the similarity whilst driving by, and when it was then shared by British comedian Jimmy Carr things really took off.

(On a side note – I love Jimmy, but that typo is unforgivable.)

“I walk past the house all the time, but I had never noticed the Hitler likeness before,” says Charli, “But then, at the weekend, I was in the car with my boyfriend and we were stuck in traffic and I just said to him, ‘That house looks like Hitler.’ We both laughed. I took a picture and posted it on Twitter. It was picked up by Jimmy Carr. Now everyone is talking about it!”

The owner of the house – which despite other reports isn’t to be found ‘third on the Reich’ – claims to not even have heard of Twitter.

Neighbour Lyn Thomas said, “I can see a resemblance now. I’ve lived here for two years but have never noticed anything before. I don’t know why it would be designed in such a way. It is uncanny.”
