Hearst Offering Coupons Online

A new revenue-sharing partnership expected to be announced today between Hearst and Coupons.com may tap into recession-minded consumers looking to save money online, Folio: reports. The launch of the coupon gallery at Delish.com comes after a one-month test at QuickAndSimple.com where consumers reportedly downloaded over $100,000 worth of coupons.

“With more than 5.5 million unique visitors logging on to Delish.com each month and an increased number of promotions on the site, we expect coupon printing volume to be at an all-time high,” Chuck Cordray, senior vice president and general manager of Hearst Magazines Digital Media, said in a statement.

Minonline reports that Hearst plans to extend the coupon partnership to Redbookmag.com and Goodhousekeeping.com as well.

According to comScore, Searches for “coupons” jumped 161 percent to 19.9 million in December 2008, compared to the same period last year.
