Although Google started out in the search business, their main business has been and currently is selling advertisements. So, it makes perfect sense for Google to partner with big brand names Buick, Disney, Diageo, T-Mobile and Delta Airlines for their so-called “offline” marketing experiment.

The “offline” aspect is traditional print advertisement campaigns designed for tight integration with and recognition by Google Goggles. This is an extension of the various barcode and Microsoft Tag campaigns that you may have seen in magazines over the past year or so.
