Glam Media Launches French Site

Brisbane-based Glam Media Inc. raised $50 million in early February through mezzanine funding and is now looking to expand its brand of fashion-driven content for women into France with the launch of The French-language site is devoted to covering fashion, beauty, luxury and lifestyle issues, including features on decor and pop culture.

Jean-Pierre Levieux and Orianne Garcia will run the new site as general manager and chief marketer of Glam Media France, respectively. Levieux is responsible for helping Microsoft Corp. promote its MSN portal in France, and Garcia launched Caramail, a web mail business, in 1994.
