Gimme (Temporary) Shelter

Urban nomadic living–the prevalence of shacks, huts, tents, and blobby little womb-like things–is explored in “Dreaming of a City: A Letter from Berlin,” David Womack and Alice Twemlow’s adventures in Design Mai-land. The annual show, “Design City,” attracted young designers who actually lived in their creations, creating the world’s best-designed squat.
