George W. Stone Named Editor In Chief of National Geographic Travel
An 18-year vet of the magazine.
Longtime National Geographic Traveler vet George W. Stone has been upped to editor in chief of National Geographic Travel, an appointment that makes him the EIC of National Geographic Traveler magazine, as well as responsible for travel-related digital and social media content, and annual events like the magazine’s photo contest.
“My goal is to empower our audiences to embrace travel as a tool for exploration, cultural engagement, creative expression and personal growth,” said the newly installed EIC in a statement.
