Forbes Launches New Women’s Magazine, Sort Of

You go, girls! Forbes has launched a new women’s magazine called ForbesWoman, a quarterly magazine and “online destination” for high-powered women, Folio: reports. The first issue will reach Forbes’s female subscribers on May 11.
Now, this isn’t exactly a brand new magazine launch: it’s more of a re-tooling of the magazine ForbesLife Executive Woman. But as FishbowlNY noted last year, the FLEW title struggled with adapting to the Web, and it sounds like they’re making a better go at it this time around. Folio reports that the ForbesWoman web site “will include breaking news, regular features, in-depth reports and columns, as well as a social network.” A social network! You don’t say!
Steve Forbes’s daughter Moira Forbes will publish the new magazine, as she did FLEW. She is the first female publisher in the company’s nearly 100-year-old history.
