Chef Tom Colicchio Tweeted today that Michael Batterberry, founder of Food and Wine and Food Arts, has passed away:
Former Gourmet editor Ruth Reichl also offered her condolences via Twitter, and placed Batterberry’s death as having occurred sometime last night:
Batterberry, along with wife Ariane, won a James Beard Foundation Lifetime Achievement Award this year for their contributions to the food world.
