Los Angeles, April 4, 2007 – E! Entertainment Television will ramp up its latenight offerings this summer with the July 2007 launch of the new latenight summer series featuring popular comedienne, TV personality and author Chelsea Handler, the announcement was made today by Lisa Berger, executive vice president, programming development, E! “Chelsea Lately” will premiere in latenight beginning this July. The hour-long weeknight strip series gives the author/comedienne the perfect platform to do what she does best: comment on pop culture & entertainment while interacting with the public. This daily program is an irreverent look at top breaking news stories, celebrity tales that just won’t die and other hot topics of the day. Chelsea will feature guests, comedic field packages and viewer call-ins.

Her first-ever stand-up special, “Comedy Central Presents Chelsea Handler” debuted March 9th on the network.

Chelsea was the star of Oxygen’s “Girls Behaving Badly” for all of its four seasons, which is now syndicated in over 90 markets, and in 2006 starred in “The Chelsea Handler Show” on E!
