DumbDumb, Denny's Serve Up New Web Series

DumbDumb, the production firm founded by former Arrested Development cast mates Will Arnett and Jason Bateman, has rolled out a new original Web series in conjunction with Denny’s.

Always Open, hosted by comedian David Koechner, is essentially a celebrity talk series filmed in a working Denny’s restaurant. Among the guests scheduled to give three-minute interviews during Always Open’s debut season are Bateman, Arnett, Sarah Silverman, Amy Poehler, Will Forte and Kristin Bell.

According to officials, the Always Open concept was designed to serve as an extension of Denny’s national campaign theme, “America’s diner is always open,” which was developed by Gotham in New York. Interpublic Group’s Mediabrands helped develop the show and its distribution strategy.

DumbDumb is backed by IAC’s Electus, the company headed by former NBC entertainment president Ben Silverman. At launch, Always Open is being distributed by IAC’s College Humor (www.collegehumor.com/alwaysopen). Down the road, the show will also be available on YouTube, Facebook, Dennys.com and DumbDumb.com.
