Does Design Really Matter?

does design really matter.jpgWe’re quite sure it does. Tomorrow evening, a well-curated bunch will weigh in on the question in an evening of design-themed conversation organized by Glasshouse New York, an organization that supports entrepreneurship across all sectors. Among the opining luminaries: Rockwell Group founder David Rockwell, Pentagram‘s Paula Scher, Carl Johnson of innovative creative services firm Anomaly, and Fast Company senior writer Linda Tischler.

The event, which be held at the Rockwell Group’s Union Square HQ, kicks off with cocktails at 6:30 before the official design chat starts at 7:15. Be sure to register in advance. And if you’re a stickler for preparation, may we suggest first checking out Scher’s paintings now on view at Maya Stendhal Gallery, dining at Rockwell-designed Cafe Gray, chugging a can of calorie-burning Enviga (Anomaly did the marketing), and reading some Fast Company? Once you’ve done all that, there will be no question in your mind that yes, design matters. Really.
