Discover CEO to Permanently Mark Traffic Milestone

This is an interesting way to mark your success…literally! Get a tattoo. Discover.com apparently reached 1.7 million unique hits this month, which is a record. According to the press release CEO and publisher Henry Donahue and popular Bad Astronomy blogger Phil Plait made a promise last year that when the site’s traffic reached its current levels — it was a third of what it is now at that point — they would both get science tattoos. Have any ideas? They are taking suggestions.

Discover.com points out that the “site’s relaunch in the middle of last year spurred the traffic growth…and a new blog platform featuring a small group of elite science bloggers attracted unprecedented numbers of hits.” Including(!) Reality Base, which we frequent, but was somehow left off the list. Send your tattoo suggestions here.
