DC Comics Moves Half Its Operation to Burbank

There had been intense rumors that DC Comics was uprooting and moving its entire operation to LA, but Publishers Weekly is reporting that only DC’s digital, multimedia, consumer product operations and its administrative functions are heading to Burbank. 50 people, or 20 percent of DC’s workforce, may be laid off in the process.

DC president Diane Nelson told PW the move was made to allow for “maximum growth, success and efficiency in the future. Our two offices will stretch and build their respective areas of focus, while prioritizing and aggressively striving to connect and cooperate more strongly than ever before between them and with their colleagues at Warner Bros.”
