CNN’s Laura Bernardini to be CNN’s DC Director of News Coverage

Long-time CNN veteran Laura Bernardini has accepted the newly created position of DC Director of News Coverage. She will be in charge of the DC assignment desk, network pool responsibilities and bureau field resources, according to an internal email obtained by Fishbowl.

Bernardini is currently the supervising producer for CNN’s White House unit. She’s previously served in various producer and assignment editor roles for the network in both Washington, D.C. and Atlanta.
