Dynamic Journalist Duo Review Dreamworks at CinemaCon

Much like the way Hollywood likes to sometimes “re-imagine” a franchise rather than straight remake it, the National Association of Theater Owners (NATO) has changed the name of this week’s annual Las Vegas convention from ShoWest to CinemaCon. Same narrative, different title.

There is already more coverage coming out of “Cin City” than you can shake a Twizzler stick at, everything from Anthony Breznican of EW on J.J. Abrams’ Super 8 to a quick dispatch by AP’s David Germain about a keynote by new MPAA chief Chris Dodd. There are also instant V-logs, like this summary from Peter Sciretta (/Film) and Steven “Frosty” Weintraub (Collider.com) of a morning Dreamworks presentation:

Based on the new footage shown today, the pair sound most jazzed about Real Steel, a futuristic robot boxer flick starring Hugh Jackman. Weintraub also shares a delightfully blunt sign off: “We have to wrap  up, because editing these things and uploading sucks ass.” Roger that, Frosty.
