Chicks with Flicks

La Femme Film Festival, which showcases works by filmmakers unburdened by penises, starts tomorrow in Beverly Hills. (Don’t worry your pretty head over the fact that the commercial for the festival was directed by the very unfeminine-sounding James Ciccarello. The films sound promising — particularly Rebecca Grace’s debut feature, Shards, which tells the story of an Iraq War veteran who brings the war home with him.)
