Borrego Sun Editor Killed In Apparent Murder/Suicide
Terrible news out of Borrego Springs in San Diego county. Borrego Sun editor Judy Winter Meier was found dead in her apartment Monday alongside her estranged husband. San Diego County Sheriff’s deputies discovered the bodies and believe Meier was the victim of a murder suicide by her husband. A gun was found near his body.

“I can’t think of anybody that didn’t know her,” said the newspaper’s office assistant, Angela Juhl. “She was involved in everything about this town for 30 years.”
