Bloomberg Politics is Live

Bloomberg Politics
is here. The long-anticipated site (okay, maybe just by media nerds) features a clean and interesting layout.

Right off the bat you see “The Brief,” which is a list of important stories for the day, and the “Curiosity Index,” which is a variety of phrases — like “Big Guns” and “Mildly pro-Obama — designed to lure readers into clicking.

The layout of Bloomberg Politics certainly makes for a great reading experience. The question, of course, is if it will attract enough readers. The site has plenty of talent — Mark Halperin and John Heilemann and Slate’s Dave Weigel have come aboard — but only time will tell if Bloomberg Politics is a mainstay or another flash in the pan.
