Bloomberg Decides Not to Buy Insulting Web Domains
Good news New Yorkers, you might be able to own bloombergsucks.nyc or fuckbloomberg.nyc after all. According to The New York Post, Michael Bloomberg has told his lawyers to cancel the purchase of those domains (along with about 400 others).
Domain Name Wire had reported that Bloomberg bought a slew of .nyc domains that seemed insulting to the former mayor. Now a spokesperson says only “straightforward” domains — like officialmikebloomberg.nyc — will be purchased. “This appears to be overly aggressive legal due diligence,” said the spokesperson, in a statement.
