BlackBook To Style Future Issues Around App

BlackBook has found inspiration for its print publication from its very own line of GPS-powered city guide applications.

Two such examples was the magazine featuring Sean Combs on their cover this past fall in order to promote an app leading readers to the mogul’s favorite spots.

More recently, the magazine’s current denim-themed issue is a spin-off of an app — “Denim Department” — designed to allow readers to find their favorite brands of denim locally based on editor recommendations.

We’ve got to admit this seems like a pretty innovative way of linking two aspects of a brand together more or less seamlessly. Tells us: Do you see yourself as likely to seek out complimentary content across platforms?
