Better Than Radio? NYT Podcasts Offer Local Journos' Interviews

If you’re not yet addicted to the NYTPopcast,” you are not wasting enough time on your computer!

Listening to newspaper music reporters/reviewers talk on the radio would be painful if we weren’t already inured to good stories told awkwardly.

One shining exception is Jeff Leeds, a local journo and friend of FBLA, who has a voice made for radio (or for small children’s nightmares, your call). This week, he talks about the odd love consumers seem to have to Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas is You, a song that has somehow, in the last 13 years, become a Christmas standard.

Most newspaper reporters groan anytime they’re asked to do anything other than write, but Leeds tells FBLA the podcasts are fun to do.
