AT&T & Sprint Both Partnered with ESPN to Bring Mobile Coverage of the NCAA Basketball Championship Games

If you live north of the equator, spring is just a few days away. And, with spring many peoples’ thoughts will turn to . . . basketball. AT&T and Sprint are no different from everyone else in this regard. Each has their own announcement related to b-ball. And, both involve sports network ESPN.

First up is AT&T…

AT&T is providing mobile coverage of all 64 NCAA games leading to the crowning of these year’s college champ. AT&T Mobile TV will set you back $9.99 per month while their Mobile Radio service costs $6.99 per month. You will also need an unlimited data plan in addition to the mobile media service.

Sprint is offering ESPN Mobile TV service…

ESPN Mobile TV Launches on Sprint TV

Sprint’s offering provides coverage of 23 of the 64 NCAA series. However, it also provides coverage of NCAA women’s championship games, NBA professional games, as well as Major League Baseball and NCAA Hockey championship games. The ESPN service is part of Sprint’s Mobile TV offering. Interestingly, Sprint does not provide any price information in their press release or web site. My recollection, however, is that the various Sprint TV packges cost about $15 per month.
