As FBLA Predicted: DreamWorks Will Go With Universal For 8%

It’s official.

As reported last week by FBLA, DreamWorks will officially go with Universal’s distribution network in a seven-year deal, Variety reported following a DreamWorks announcement.

The move was anticipated because of DreamWorks principal Steven Spielberg’s
long-standing ties to Universal through his Amblin label and Stacey Snider’s former status as chairman of the film division for Universal.

Universal is expected to take an 8% distribution fee for all of the DreamWorks films.
