'Artists for Haiti' Auction Raises $13.7 Million

Christie’s waived all fees and commissions for the charity sale, which raised $13.7 million that will go directly to selected charities in Haiti. “We far exceeded the $7.5-$10.5 million pre-sale estimates, which is no small feat in these uncertain times,” wrote Zwirner in an e-mail following the Thursday evening sale of 27 works, many of which were created for Artists for Haiti.
