ars technica Says iPad/Kindle Combo Deadly to Other Readers: Me? Amazon is the Big Winner

An op-ed from the always interesting ars technica blog opines that:

iPad/Kindle combo proving deadly to rest of e-reader market

That’s no surprise to those of you who have read my commentary about ebook reading since the iPad appeared in April. ars technica’s Jon Stokes comments on the growing list of cancelled ebook reader device projects.

I was quite happy reading novels on my iPhone prior to buying an iPad. In fact, even after getting an iPad, I found the smaller and lighter iPhone was a more convenient ebook reader in a “lean back” environment.
