Apple’s Maps App To Have Yelp Integration

Apple’s new Maps app will replace the Google Maps app on the iPhone later this year. So what is it going to look like? Well, according to reports, it will be integrated with Yelp, letting users check into locations with their Yelp profiles.

Bloomberg has the story: “The Apple developer kit, which was given to programmers earlier this month and examined by Bloomberg, includes screen shots of Yelp check-ins within Apple Maps. Trudy Muller, a spokeswoman for Cupertino, California-based Apple, declined to comment, as did Vince Sollitto, a spokesman for San Francisco- based Yelp.”

Yelp has had its own iPhone app for years. The app lets users search for businesses from gas stations to restaurants, check-in to locations, read and share reviews and even make reservations on OpenTable.
