Amazon's Media Binge, Google's Dell Buy
From today’s WSJ:
Amazon.com “has opened two development centers for media initiatives in the San Francisco area.” This just as Yahoo decides to go in the other direction.
Another tidbit from the piece: Google “is in talks with Dell Inc. to pay fees that could approach $1 billion to install Google software on as many as 100,000 new Dell personal computers over three years.” Coming soon: stories about Google’s shot across Microsoft’s bow.
