Philip Chien has recently been exposed by Wired News as having fabricated sources in at least three space-related articles he wrote for them. Chien created fake e-mail addresses which he used to mislead editors and claimed to have interviewed people who died many years ago. For me, at least, this brings about serious questions about the accuracy of the content of this book.
