All the News That's Fit to Win

The Society of News Design announced this week its two winners for its annual The World’s Best Designed Newspapers. And the winners? Warsaw’s Rzeczpospolita and London’s The Guardian. The two were picked out of 389 papers from 44 countries by five judges, including Nanette Bisher from the San Francisco Chronicle and Joe Dizney from the Wall Street Journal (and also the guy with the coolest name in the bunch). Makes you wonder if the judges for this thing get upset that they can’t vote for their own employers, or if they are (“You know, I’ve noticed how terrific the National Post looks, and I’m totally not just saying that because I’m the executive editor.”).
