Adobe Launches New PDF Making App for iOS

Adobe’s latest IOS app has just popped upon iTunes today, and it’s a good one. CreatPDF does exactly what it says. You can use to to convert, read, and share PDFs by email.

The app will work from a large number of formats, including MSOffice, StarOffice, OpenOffice, as well as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. Adobe promises that the output will meet industry standards. The PDF will have all the same layout, links, end notes, and foot notes as the original. The app can even convert content embedded in a powerpoint file (video, animated GIFs, etc) and preserve the functionality.

BTW, Adobe is rather late to the game; there are already several PDF making apps including Save2PDF, which came out this spring. It seems to be exceptionally popular and like CreatePDF it also costs $10.
