Ad Seeks Writer ‘Who Reads’

Here’s something you’ll only find in LA: an ad poster bitter about employing other “writers” who don’t read.

For the record – we read Craigslist:

A writer who also reads (Glendale)

We are looking for one writer who at a minimum meets the following requirements:

– Ability to write about complex as well as simple topics intelligently
– Someone who is a voracious reader and won’t have to rely heavily on Wikipedia to get the facts straight
– A critical thinker who is able to do more than regurgitate information swiped from half-baked websites
– Someone whose chosen profession is writing, or someone who wants to make writing their career (if you are just looking to make quick cash while you are paying your dues to make it big in Hollywood then this is not for you)

Please note that this is a contract position, and will pay on a per project basis. It may turn into something more in the future, but do realize that this is posted in the ‘gigs’ section.

The projects will vary in breadth, depth, as well as topic, hence the need for someone well read.

Please provide a resume, and more importantly writing samples.

This is a telecommuting position, so even though our office is in Glendale, you can do the work from the comfort of wherever.

Lastly, please include your per-word fees.

Thank you for your interest.

  • Location: Glendale
  • it’s NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests
  • Compensation: Compensation will be on a per project and per word basis. I don’t have a set price. That will be determined based on the quality of your writing.
