Three Strikes and This Fake News Site Is Out

A version of ABC News that is for cocoa puffs.

The first indication that this is not your grandpa’s version of ABC News is the .co suffix at the end of the website URL.

The second is the displayed photo of ABC News headquarters:

That’s in fact a Westboro Baptist Church. And the third hint that David Muir never lunches anywhere near this place is the final portion of the “Disclaimer:”

Do you have a problem with self-rape? Are you looking to get off the Devil’s playground? Fappy the Anti-Masturbation Dolphin can help! Praise Fappy!

The fake ABC News site has fooled folks before and likely will again. We fell down this rabbit hole after seeing a tweet from someone linking to the site’s March 13 report that the IRS had revoked the Church of Scientology’s tax-exempt status.

P.S. If you’re so inclined, more background on Fappy can be found here.
