A Twitter Mistake Turns Into A Win-Win For All
The communications person managing the Red Cross Twitter account got his personal account mixed up with the public account.
Last night @Redcross was showing the following Tweet:
Oops! Well, everyone’s gotten their accounts crossed at some point or another, and it’s the response afterward that determines how the backlash will play out.
The Red Cross had the right idea; according to the company’s blog, they deleted the tweet and then posted a funny apology. “We’ve deleted the rogue tweet but rest assured the Red Cross is sober and we’ve confiscated the keys.”
