Just in time for the 2010 Winter Olympics, we see Foursquare and The New York Times team up. No! Really? Who would have imagined this even a year ago? And, yet, it is true. Check out this link…
I’m not a fan of Foursquare or other social-location-network game-ish type services. In fact, I’ve been hoping to find a way to filter all those “I’m the mayor of” type messages for several months now. But, even I have to admit that combining Foursquare, the New York Times, the awesome locations around Vancouver BC like Whistler, and what should be an amazing 2010 Winter Olympics is a winner of an idea.
The New York Times says of this team-up: The Times will be offering recommendations for restaurants, popular attractions, shopping and nightlife in Vancouver, Whistler and the town of Squamish.
