$170M Short, Ad Campaign Launches For World Trade Center Memorial


Armed with the slogan “It’s time” and backed by pro-bono work by TBWA\Chiat\Day New York, the World Trade Center Memorial Foundation yesterday launched a national ad campaign to drum up support — and the $170 million it still needs — to build the World Trade Center Memorial in Lower Manhattan.

The campaign includes print ads, radio spots and a television ad that plucks at the heartstrings of those who have seen the countless makeshift memorial that sprouted up in the days, weeks and years since 9/11. The foundation has partnered with nearly every major media outlet in New York, many of whom will donate air or print space to run the ads.
