Winning any trophy at Cannes Lions can set your career or your agency on a dramatic new path, but the creative festival’s most coveted honor is the Grand Prix.
This year—an admittedly odd one as juries deliberated virtually and considered two years of work after the festival was canceled in 2020—32 campaigns took home Grand Prix honors. Each equates to a “best in category” recognition, with some winning across multiple verticals.
While a rare few tallied an impressive number of top awards, such as AMV BBDO’s “Womb Stories” campaign for Essity winning four Grand Prix, there was definitely an impressive array of work across Cannes Lions’ 30 categories.
Below you can revisit each Grand Prix winner and learn more about how it earned a top spot at the global festival.
