As the cost of living crisis bites, British health and beauty retailer Boots is promising its “most affordable Christmas ever” with a holiday campaign focused on value for money and thoughtful gifting.

The Walgreens Boots Alliance (WBA)-owned brand strikes a balance between magic and realism in its latest Christmas ad, which stars British actress Lydia West, known for her roles in the TV series Years and Years and It’s a Sin.

In the ad, created by agency The Pharm/VMLY&R London, West plays Holly, a young woman who finds a pair of glasses left behind by a mysterious figure on the bus.
