Last month, the e-commerce platform Verishop, which sells everything from clothing to electronics to cookware, debuted a livestream shopping tool. The feature allows influencers, professionals and industry experts to share tips, answer questions and help viewers discover new products.

Cate Khan, co-founder and chief strategy officer of Verishop, explained the element that gives today’s live-shopping experience its excitement is the interaction.
