A College Football Rivalry Helped Walmart Show Off Its Drone Delivery Service

The first-ever campaign allowed customers to see drones in action

Arkansas and Missouri have a common border, which the University of Arkansas notes has a history of “disputed demarcations.”

These historical disputes turned modern-day competition eventually spurred a college football game known as the Battle Line Rivalry between the University of Arkansas and the University of Missouri.

In addition to bragging rights, the winning team takes home a four-foot-tall, 180-pound trophy that depicts the two states with a border line that changes color based on the winner of the most recent game.

The 2021 matchup was notable not only because the Razorbacks emerged victorious for the first time since 2015, but because Walmart—whose Bentonville, Ark.
