Best Buy Expands Into Beauty Devices, E-Bikes and Patio Furniture

The new categories are part of a two-year plan to broaden its business

Best Buy is moving beyond its staple electronics lineup, adding beauty gadgets, yard products and personal electric transportation to its in-store and online selection.

The retailer will begin carrying the new categories across hundreds of stores and online as part of a two-year plan to expand its business into new areas that have proven popular with customers. The push comes as Best Buy seeks to extend the momentum it has enjoyed during the pandemic, which drove shoppers to buy more home electronics, office equipment and appliances.

Best Buy began to lay the foundation for its outdoor living section last November, when it acquired outdoor furniture maker Yardbird for an undisclosed amount.
