The Zimmerman Agency in Tallahassee, Fla., was awarded the $1 million advertising and public relations account of The Diplomat Resort and Country Club in Hollywood, Fla.
Once a playground for the rich and famous, The Diplomat was considered one of South Florida’s elite hotels during the 1960s. After a decline in its condition and a subsequent purchase, the hotel was razed last year. An improved version will open in the summer of 2000.
“This is a great opportunity to be literally involved from the ground up,” said agency principal Curtis Zimmerman.
