NEW YORK–Ziff Davis Media pulled the plug Wednesday on Family PC, idling 25 employees. September’s issue will be its last.

The decision came just weeks after a last-ditch effort to save the tech monthly by repositioning it this fall as Family Internet Life, a brand extension of Yahoo! Internet Life.

“It was not economically viable,” a spokeswoman said. “And the magazine would not be viable for the foreseeable future.”

The loss brings the company’s total job cuts this year over 100.
